View/Print/Download PDF Version

1/2” F.NPT x 1/2” F.NPT with Pressure Test Valve and “Tamper-Resistant” Shut-Off
(250 PSIG W.O.G. / -40°F to 300°F / 0.5#, 2.0#, 5.0# )
Usage: In-Line (external) : Installed in the service line just prior to entry into the structure, provides the capability to take pressure readings evaluating adequate delivery at this reduced pressure location, as-well-as, providing lockable, “Tamper-Resistant” shut-off capability of the structure without shutting down service to additional structures. Provides access to help determine if a leak is internal or external.
In-Line (internal) : Installed in the piping (inside the structure) at a capped location not being currently used, provides lockable, “Tamper-Resistant” capability at these unused locations and dead-end, lockup, and initial pressure readings, as well as non-invasive low pressure (11” w.c.) leak detection with an ounce gauge or water monometer. Also, provides lockable, “Tamper-Resistant” shut-off capability of the outlet at the appliance when it is installed or removed from the system (creating an “Open-Outlet”) without shutting down service to additional appliances.
Appliance : Installed in the piping with an appliance connected, provides the capability to take pressure readings (i.e., “Dead-End”) at the appliance, as-well-as, providing lockable, “Tamper-Resistant” shut-off capability of the appliance until repairs or replacement can occur without shutting down service to additional appliances.
Features: “Tamper-Resistant”: The lockable feature (closed only) requires a
special tool (ordered separately) not likely to be in the customers possession,
thus making it difficult for the customer or appliance installer to restore
propane service once locked closed by the LP Dealer who has possession of the
special tool.
Warning
Tag: This warning tag which comes with every valve
helps satisfy the “Duty To Warn” and instructs the customer or appliance
installer to call the LP Dealer to provide service, inspect the installation,
perform code required leak testing and document pressure readings.
Quick
Adapter: Provides quick access to the pressure tap
valve (without tools) when connected directly to a gauge. Or, a hose barb installed in the 1/4"
F.NPT connection provides access to a water manometer or oz gauge hose. Ordered separately.
Benefit: Since
the LP Dealer is legally responsible for the entire installation, this product
gives the LP Dealer more control over the entire installation,
the
ability to get pressure readings without breaking the system, and quick and
accurate methods of service procedure documentation, indicating compliance with
code or insurance company requirements.
